My son received a rejection sent his his junk mail yesterday. He was a legacy with a grandfather who had donated to Northeastern for the past 57 years! Unfortunately he missed 6 weeks of school last fall while recovering from viral encephalitis, but manage to come back from his illness to end the year as one of the top students in his class with a 4.99 GPA for the year. It was a tough and character building year for him, but he has shown a level of maturity well beyond his years while overcoming the adversity he has faced this year. We can’t wait to see what he accomplishes in the future. As a former Northeastern professor told me - it is Northeastern’s loss…
