Northwestern Transfers Fall 2017

Sorry for the late response! I got it Friday morning.

Side note: I think my letter might be mailed to an address I no longer hold (old dorm).
Probably won’t be a problem, right?

Anyone get accepted from community college?

@EconDon23 I’m for a community college in the Bay Area.

For those you guys who are interested,
Here’s a facebook group for NU transfer this year!

stats? @inglebert

@VaishS did you receive loans as part of your package from NW?

@weirdfishes95 yes I do think so

Financial aid is up for me… guess I won’t be going. EFC 500 but cost 33000, but as I said their grant funding is limited. Off to Vanderbilt!

I got my decision on Thursday, but didn’t get my aid today. Anyone on the same boat?

Same boat @inordie. I’m hoping to get some notification before Monday… zzz

Hm. I thought it was supposed to be out today for us. it still says information unavailable

hey guys do you guys know what Northwesterns official rescind policy is? I have an overall 4.0 at my current institution. This spring I am taking 3 classes but I might end up getting 1 A and 2 B’s (my first B’s in college ever). Does anyone think this will raise any flags or am I overreacting. Thanks

@genieforuboi You’ll probably be fine. Northwestern’s site says competitive transfer applicants have gotten at least a B in everything. Obviously, admissions standards are higher, but I doubt they’ll rescind for a couple Bs.

@Evertim did u get your decision? similar stat from ucsd .

Anyone not get FA awards yet? If so when did you get your decision?

I got my award a few hours ago. I have an EFC of 0 but expected to pay 13,000. Is there any appeal process to this?

I don’t know if this is helpful for anyone still waiting. My daughter got her acceptance on 5/11/2017. She never got an email about her financial aid award letter being ready, but I checked in their system (CAESAR) a week after sending in the last of the required documents and her financial aid award was ready. She’s officially off to NU in the fall.

My daughter’s financial aid package was very generous.

Accepted!
