Northwestern University Early Decision thread 2010

And…joke officially taken too far.

haha ya i guess. sorry. not much else to say round here. Just have to sit and wait impatiently.

Who has applied to McCormick, Weinberg, Medill, ect. - I applied to McCormick

Think i may have said this already but whatev. stuff will prob get repeated a lot. School of Communication! :)

SoC, as well.

just joining in…i applied to McCormick

btw are sending 1st qtr grades required? i don’t think so but i just wanna make sure

Weinberg for sciences

I don’t think they are required. If you’re accepted, then they will probably want midyear reports though to keep track.

ok i figured but thank you

gl to everyone

sesp!

does anyone know if they evaluate you by the school you applied to? or is it overall?

the school you applied to.

email this morning: my application is COMPLETE and underreview!

mine too! so nervous. I have above average stats 34 and top 2% class rank…just that my ECs are not topnotch. hopefully great recs and a great essay + visit would compensate.

mine is complete. My stats are average except my rank is top 3% and my gpa is 4.0. But average everything else. so i have plenty reason to be worried.

Wow top 3%, that’s very impressive. My rank is not stellar at all because my school is ridiculously competitive, and basically half the grade has a 90+ average, lol, but my school doesn’t officially rank anyways. I think that unofficially, I’m around top 15%. Hopefully NU will understand the uber competitive nature of my school…

Received my email today. I applied to Weinberg for Econ. My stats are avg. 2180, 1440 combined, 31 ACT, top 10% but we don’t officially rank, 3.99 weighted, 3.86 unweighted, 11 AP’s by the time I’m done HS and decent EC’s. Honestly though guys, you have nothing to worry about from the stats I’m seeing you’re all more than qualified for schools of this caliber the only thing is that the college selection process is a crapshoot. Don’t sell yourself short and acknowledge that the die has been cast; everything is out of your hands and you have done the best you could do right? Nothing left but to hope.

Totally agree. Everythings all done. Let’s just hope. And everyone’s scores are very good and within (some above) the median of accepted students. We’re all pretty good on transcrips I guess it just comes down to the school we’re applying to and our essays. Haha I’m even wearing a northwestern shirt every friday for luck.

haha man that makes me laugh. I’ve been talking about college so much to my family I’m terribly embarrassed and now have to act nonchalant for the next month. Its terrible!

yeah, my friends are gettin pretty sick of me haha. 4 and a half more weeks…:(

anyone fill out the CSS profile yet? my parents are huge procrastinators just like me, so it will probably be completed 24 hours before due date.
