The harbor is basically a tourist trap and in no way does DC come close to rivaling Chicago when it comes to restaurants, bars, clubs, etc.

Frankly, this is a laughable statement.

Adam’s Morgan, Dupont Circle and all the other places in DC and Baltimore don’t equal the no. of entertainment venues in Chicago.

DC is very much like Boston, after a while you pretty much have hit most of the “social scene” and in comparison, Baltimore is far smaller (Fells Point? Federal Hill? Give me a break, they are nice, but absolutely tiny.)

Outside of LA (which isn’t really a proper “city”), Chicago has the closest thing to a nightlife that equals Manhattan; basically, one could spend your weekends at venues in Chicago during the 4 yrs of school w/o hitting all the spots.
