<p>I’ve been really addicted to this forum lately, and I am close to depression from not getting anything yet. So many of my friends have already been accepted, and I feel like I’m the only person not accepted yet haha. I think my EC’s are pretty decent.</p>

<p>In early January I received an email regarding “UC Irvine @ Virtual College Fair.”
In early February I received an email regarding UCI’s Financial Aid.
I mid February I received snail mail regarding the “Stay Over Program” which I wish I could have attended.
I have also received a postcard of some sort about how wonderful UCI is and how I should choose them. </p>
<p>I think these are all cruel marketing ploys because I want to go there but I’m so at their mercy! Very frustrating!</p>
<p>I’m still waiting on the decision. I’m dead average for most UC’s that are considering me, so I don’t really think my decision is going to come soon. I’m under and English major and I haven’t heard anyone get in for that yet!</p>

I don’t really have ‘normal’ ec’s. I ran my own webzine for 5-6 years (interviewing/concert photos). I still take concert photos for some people. I’m also a writer/columnist/editor for my school newspaper. I’m super interested in UCI’s radio program… so everything I do is relevant for the career path I want, and I’m hoping UCI will see that :/</p>

<p>I truely give up. All of my close friends had gotten accepted…one of them today. I still haven’t gotten anything yet. I think my chances isn’t high. Low SAT score…below avg GPA score. Maybe UCI just wasn’t meant for me, and when I said below avg. I mean really bad GPA and SAT scores…and when SB and Davis come out in 22 and 23…I’m going to melt. I give up on mid-tier UC already.</p>

<p>@Churroke: You can’t give up yet! I’m in the same exact boat as you are. My GPA and SAT scores are extremely low and most of my friends have been accepted. I have very little hope that I’m going to be accepted, but I’m still trying my best to keep what little faith I have left… I’ve been rejected from UCLA(obviously) and UCSD. Heck, I’m even waitlisted for Cal Poly Pomona(not an impacted major). UCI is my dream school to get into, so I’m getting pretty depressed with all this waiting too… Good luck to all those still waiting for a response…</p>
