Not Accepted Yet Thread.

Rejected too… I’m so sad. My number one school for the last 4 years.

awww… guys, don’t lose hope. you should definitely appeal! =) i know many people who appealed last year and got in.

I got waitlisted :[. UCI is my #1 school, so I think I’ll just accept it and wait for SB and Davis. If I get accepted to one of those I’ll SIR and wait for UCI just in case I get in.

I just found out I got rejected too this morning, but I got accepted to UCSD.
My friend with lower stat applied for a different major(which I believe is either undecided or biological science) and got in :frowning:
Is anyone here got accepted to UCSD but not Irvine too?

Rejected. I feel like crying…

yayyyyyyyy im rejectedddddddddddddd :)))))))))))
T_TTTTTTTT

T_______T
i think today’s wave is only for rejection

^I believe so, too. How stupid to make us all wait… for rejection.

D rejected for Dance today - audition was in January. We all love waiting and waiting just to get bad news.

Waited to get rejected as an English major. ):

sigh I got the email though I got in it sux most of u didn’t :frowning: not fair

@highschoolgrad Actually funny, 3 of my friends got in UCSD and UCLA but got flat out rejected from UCI -.-

finally got an e-mail, and it was a rejection. two rejections this week. this sucks…

dudeee rejected  should i appeal?

i don’t know watttt to dooo
i feel like i did IB and took so many hard classes for nothing
if i do appeal… i do’nt really have a good legit or new info :/

Rejected

but to address a few of you…

you find out your admisson status by this: https://www.admissions.uci.edu:8443/cgi-bin/maa_uci.cgi</a>.
NOT by zotportal

and also, people who got accepted to “better” schools such as UCSD and UCLA that got rejected from UCI, it is probably because UCI knows that they will most likely end up going to a better school with their stats, and so they would rather give the spot to someone who is more likely to attend hence the slight lower stats. It’s stupid and slightly unfair, but think about it, if you got into UCLA or UCB, would you go there or UCI?

waitlisted ughh.

Thank you for applying to the University of California, Irvine this year. Due to capacity limits for the freshman class we are not currently able to offer you admission for fall 2010.

However, your application is strong, and as a result we want to give you the opportunity to be included on a waitlist for UC Irvine. We will notify you by May 15, 2010, regarding your admission status. At the same time, we caution you to not miss the deadlines at other colleges/universities while waiting to receive our waitlist decision.

irvine does rolling, right?

Margretmei, I don’t think they do that. People at my school that have gotten into UCLA have also gotten into UC.

Maybe, maybe not. It’s possible.

Rejection for me too :frowning:
I thought I was sure to get in. My stats matched theirs perfectly…

Do you think we can call the admission office and ask why we were rejected? Like UCSD? I want to know so badly.

I actually got rejected to UCLA but was accepted into UCSD.
I seriously want to attend Irvine more since I have visited their campus and I think I’ll like the environment there more than SD. Irvine also ranks higher than SD in Computer Science and Engineering.
