@hcpsa After doing more research, it seems that as an unmatched QB finalist I was automatically rolled into Notre Dame’s binding Early Action program (which is perfectly fine with me because I love Notre Dame :D). We’ll call Notre Dame AO tomorrow just to make sure everything is okay, but it looks like I’ll be in South Bend next fall! Yay!
My daughter is currently in the Gateway and loves it. It has turned out to be the biggest unexpected blessing! Can’t speak highly enough about. Congrats to those offered a spot in the program. Definitely go to one of the info sessions. Last year someone started a separate thread for Gateway and it was helpful to learn and share information on the program.
@bookworm13579 This is excellent! Yes, simply give them a call - all will be good and Admissions will be doing all they can to help. Might be busy today, as REA came out on Friday evening. When you do call, suggest not even mention the ED Rice application, as it is all water under the bridge anyways. Congratulations again!

@HM0257 your daughter’s diploma will definitely say “university of notre dame”, it will not mention gateway in any capacity. i’m nd class of 2017 and one of my best friends did gateway. nothing different about her experience from sophomore year on, except that she came in sophomore year with a great group of gateway friends! she also did activities on nd’s campus (clubs and stuff) freshman year

I only got the 35 on the American College Test and do not want to be bullied by classmates. My father almost disowned me when found out about such shocking result. I got 36 on all sections but 30 on English. I was so disappointed but Notre Dame is perfect. I hope to be in the class of 2023 because you can’t spell Ramanudram Srinvastva Gupta without Notre Dame. Daughter received paper acceptance on Friday. We live 2 hours from ND.

What does the paper acceptance look like? Is it just the paper or is it like a packet? Haven’t received anything yet

@student158 - I am not sure when FA letters for REA admits go out. My DS was RD last year. It took 4-6 weeks to get the letter. Congratulations! Welcome Home.
My sophomore son’s FA letter was sent by email on April 1 two years ago. We had just gotten in to town for Admitted Student Days. He committed the next day.
It was very close to the aid that had been estimated by the Net Price Calculator on the website.
For the deferred students…how soon should the follow up letter be sent in? does that matter? any advice on that. Thanks
The paper acceptance come in a big envelope from the office of admissions, and its this big blue folder-ish type thing. I screeched like a banshee when I got it. The letter says the exact same thing as the digital copy, and it includes some important info about committing to ND!
