@ggirl2288 in the past the decisions were posted unannounced at 6:42 EST and then emails were sent out in batches after 7
In recent years the emails went out shortly after portals were updated with decisions.
how do you think a 1420 woukd fare, assuming everything else is up to par? will it b a close call for my D?
I kind of want them to come out tonight, kind of don’t… Anyone else nervous?
@littlechild it feels like Monday all over again! Yesterday I think everyone was a bit more chill because we all kinda knew they weren’t going to be released yesterday. But now I’m so nervous oh my goodness
hahaha. @ndhopeful2022 ikr? Yesterday was like ahhh no results today, but today is like THERE IS A POSSIBILITY
I can’t wait two and a half hours more! I might go crazy!
I am done with my homework… Which means that it is time to sit down and stress out for several hours.
If decisions do come out tonight I’ll find out when I’m working at a local yoga studio. Either way decisions fall I’m gonna need some yoga zen!!
It’s the worst day for the decisions to come out! My little sister is having a Chirstmas band concert so from 6:30-8:30, I won’t have any technology. :((
if they post at 642 but send emails at 7 how do you check at 642? do you get an NDid sometime before during the app process so you can log into the confirm page?
@wdfa89 you should have gotten an email a week ago with a login and password to a portal that should be able to log in now.
@ndhopeful2022 @Palomino2018 I am with both of you. I have to leave a few minutes before decisions come out to babysit, and the kids get very upset when I pull out my phone to look at it. This is going to be torture!
Yay!!
An Irish Blessing-
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rain fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of his hand.
Amen.
no update for the confirmation page yet
Saint Joseph of Cupertino, Pray for us!
My eldest sisters who are twins both just graduated from there. One was more qualified than the other, but not got in. The one with lowers scores applied early and the other did not. ND was very good about separating them in dorms and classes and things (they weren’t even allowed to be in the same choir!) But they will both be reviewed as individuals. Best of luck for them both!
@psawithguitar Oh my gosh! I have been praying to Saint Joseph of Cupertino for months now! Haha. Thanks to him, I raised my SAT score by 100 points.
As the parent of a current Freshman, I feel for all of you. In case it helps, I looked back at this time last year (she applied REA) and here’s how things unfolded for my daughter:
- On 12/7 she received an email stating the admissions decisions would be announced in mid-December. And it gave info about her applicant status page/portal so she could make sure it was correct.
- on 12/12 at 7:05PM (Eastern time) she received an email stating:
Dear ________,
We are writing to advise you that admission decisions for Restrictive Early Action have been released.
Please click on the “Applicant Status Page” link and enter your previously established password. If you have forgotten your password, you will be given the option to reset it.
- on 12/12 @ 7:29 (Eastern) ND Admissions Tweeted the following:

Congratulations to all students admitted to @NotreDame in the Restrictive Early Action round! http://■■■■■■/welcomeND
Every year is probably different, but these are the “facts” experienced by my daughter last year. IIRC, there were rumors and people with “sources” last year, too. While there did seem to be something to that 1842 time thing (in terms of checking the portal), the first official word that came from Notre Dame was that 7:05PM email.
Maybe today is the day…or maybe not. I would advise you to just stay off the board (for your sanity) until you get the email from ND one of these next afternoons.
Good luck and Go Irish!
