Nov 17 Makeup SAT

Yup I also remember putting tactless. And mendacity was for the one with the politicians.

What was the essay question again? Did y’all find it easy to think of examples?

“Should people be busy or have free time?”

I said busy and used Steve Jobs, CERN, and Industrial Revolution

what was the answer to the math question about avg difference btwn the high and low temperatures of mon-fri? was it 6? you would find the difference btwn the high and low for each day and find the avg of that for all 5 days?

on writing, i got 27 no error and 29 no error. was that correct? for the paragraph, was one of the correct answers something along the lines of “someone sold you a lemon…”?

thanks!!

thanks!!

math: what was the answer for the question that was like (x-a)(x-c)? i think i put (-a,-c).
also, was one of the answers something like y=(x-5)^2+9? b/c the x coordinate of the vertex was btwn 2 and 8 so it would be 5. and x-5 means shifting 5 to the right?

it was (b,0) and yeah the 2nd one sounds right. i just graphed it into my 83 and found the zeroes.

I got 6 for the one with the temperatures!
and the one with (x- a)(x - c), i plugged in numbers since 0 < a < b < c. When you graph both equations they always intersect at (b, 0).
And i think it was y = (x - 5)^2 - 9! (Choice c, i think)

I think i screwed up my writing section… I found it harder than previous year’s writing sections

for the critical passage on the laborers, what was the answer to the situations question? two of the options i remember were female workers went from part time to full time jobs and companies becoming more efficient.
If anybody remembers any more of the questions from the laborers passage it would be appreciated

2400please for the writing improvement passage, i got the answer “someone might try to sell you a lemon- a car…”. What did u get for the question before that? i got something like “don’t forget to include…” (choice C) i think
For the writing improvement, i think i got ECCABA. can anyone tell me if they got this as well

The situations one was “female workers took up more full time jobs”

@randomly , “creative originality” was not correct because I’m pretty sure it said something about her taking things she seen from books or something like that.

2400please, do you remember the question for the one where you got (x-5)^2 + 9?

For the rug design thing, i put creative originality (that was the choice btw, not creative imagination). The only reason that i’d assume lack of artistic focus is correct is because her designs weren’t original. But then again, was there a lack of artistic focus? To me, it didn’t seem presented as a lack of artistic focus, but i’m really just not sure.

Also the last writing question was down to these two choices:

something something something pursuit of happyness something, each who was hopeful to become a broker

something something something pursuit of happyness something, each who was hoping to become a broker

i put hoping. my rationale was: you wouldn’t say “when i grow up, i’m hopeful to become a broker.” You’d say hoping.

Hope that clears some things up.

can we get someone to 100% confirm that they didn’t have the p= (100p) question? I’m really hoping that was not experimental, because i screwed up horribly on 2 math sections, and that wasn’t one of them.

I agree - can someone PLEASE say they did not get n * if they Didnt ?

And it’s SOOO not “creative originality” because the author went on a rant about her drawing being derivitive and later unfocused

For the lack of artistic focus question I actually ended up putting something about having a Persian education, because I crossed out creative originality (it said she got the motifs from books that she’d studied), and there was nothing that talked about her lack of artistic focus. It wasn’t that she wasn’t focused, it was just that she didn’t understand the culture behind art. I guess we’ll have to wait until the 4th to find out!

do you remembering getting “wrong is method of methodology” and “distort…” something for the economic passage with hours of pay

i don’t remember distort, but i vaguely remember discord or somethign like that. also i know what question you’re talking about for the methodology one. I’m nto sure what i put though. i had it down to statistical something or factors of economy. i think i put factors of economy or something.

Can somebody with a good memory pleasee start making lists of questions ? even section per section. Id do it but I have an awful memory

Like for example
Math grid in:

 • step ladder question
 • minimize perimeter question (squares of different size)
 • how many days did the family spend it owattowa/Quebec

@justin5585 yeah thats what i put too! i think i put that too, i can’t remember clearly. my answers (besides the already mentioned 2)were “delete sentence” and the last question in that section was “immediately after sentence 4” which was choice a i believe.

@mjmsh22 i believe it was a quadratic equation and the zeros were x=2,8 and it asked you to find the equation for it.
