I’d find this quote just as befuddling if you’d substituted “right” for "left

I was referring to Paula Jones. You know, one of the little people for whom the left professes to care, but their actions prove otherwise. I view the liberal elite as being disinterested in actual human beings while in love with “humanity.”

Interesting. What do you suppose the “left” should have done with Paula Jones?

Poor, white, less educated? Not so sure she’d agree with that characterization. And I’m sure her Penthouse photo shoot makes her more sympathetic?

I knew you’d get around to Clinton sooner or alter. ;)

by pampered Playboy, I meant Joe Wilson, not Bill Clinton…though it would be an honest mistake for those who thought I meant the commander&molester.

Zoosermom - you probably actually believe that there was an official, bipartisan Congressional report that stated that Joe Wilson was a liar, don’t you? Amazing what repetition can do.

FF, I know that you are a Bush apologist, but I’m sure you know that Bush and company had pre-planned the Iraq invasion. This is well documented in their own paper, the PNAC, as well as the Downey Street memos, among others. Bush himself admitted on camera that, oops, well, there weren’t any WMD, oopsie…which was how he sold the war to congress and the American public.

OK, so this isn’t a lie? Shall we call it deception? Hoodwinking? What?

I know that lying about blow jobs is much more heinous to you than lying the country into war, but let’s call a spade a spade. Bush himself admitted that he had “faulty intelligence” (a big duh, since I have read the PNAC playbook cover to cover…who needs “intelligence”, when you have the plan in place three years in advance of invasion, two in advance of 9/11?).

Ok you caught me! I hacked the Senate website, created an entire report (I specifically refer you to page 39) and added the names of Senators from both parties. Can you call Patrick Fitzgerald on me? Really, where DO you get this stuff?

Faulty intelligence is NOT a lie, and there were WMDs. Not to the extent claimed, but they did and do exist.

Stop repeating the blowjob nonsense. Paula Jones was an American citizen entitled to be heard in court and Clinton committed perjury to prevent that. THAT is heinous and an abuse of power if ever I heard one. Maybe because I’m not a member of the elite I feel so deeply offended by that.

Point is Zoos, the invasion was planned in advance, in 1999. Have you read the Project for the New American Century? I highly recommend it.

When you plan something in advance, a little global hegemony project, and tell the country another reason why you are invading a country, it really seems like a LIE to me. Not a little faulty intelligence. A big fat LIE.

And abuse of power? Oh my gosh. Let’s talk about Bush’s incredible abuse of executive power, shall we?

We’ll just have to agree to disagree because I don’t subscribe to your conspiracy theories and never will. Please also be aware that I am NOT a Bush apologist.

WMD? In Iraq? Depends, I suppose on how you define a WMD. I CAN tell you that the Bushies have stretched the definition of a WMD beyond all rationality, I suppose to meet their political needs.

As a former US ARMY Artillery Officer, I have first hand experience with true WMD. The only thing “Mass” about the Weapons of Destruction in Iraq was the PR campaign used to trumpet what was found as justification for the invasion.

So go on, believe Iraq is a just cause if you must, but not because the invasion protected us from their WMDs. To say so trivializes the concept and causes us to miss the threats that DO exist, the risk from countries that do have them, such as Pakistan, N. Korea etc.
