yeah, both answers seem to sound justified. i don’t care if i get it right or wrong, i just want to see which is the right answer. this and the solicitous/candid one are the ones that i’m iffy on right now.

ace 22 tennis have you been here all afternoon/evening?

i’ve made periodic checks since then and it seems like you’re always at the forefront of the argument… usually with the right answer too.

i think i’ve accepted my -3 score. i was really hoping for perfect… but oh well.

solicitous instead of candid? damn. stupid mistake.

Oh well, I’m proud of myself for getting preclude, ameliorate, and chicanery ;)

Now can we talk about
“Specialization of Poetry”?

Wasn’t it like degree-seeking?

i remember another question! The description of the book (microbiologist passage) used ‘personification’

derrr. It was like “the book’s pages smiled at him.”
lmao

Personification is right… i think

And is “specialization of poetry” right or no…

yes, of course specialization was right. Both passages were entirely about the increasing concentration of poetry’s audience into a condensed environment of academia.

that was their entire message lol

what do you guys think I would get

-6 and one omit…

probably 700, I’m not sure

I thought it was languished…something for one of the vocab questions… anyone remember what the second word is? It was about computer being never updated…

that one was antediluvian. i looked it up :)

It was like…

The company languished despite its computer system, because it was … nver updated…

I remember second word being something synomymous to “antediluvian” i new what antediluvian meant…

And the answer choice was flourish/antediluvian

the company wouldn’t have flouished “despite” an antidivluvian computer sytem

EDIT: I remember the second word~!! It was “antiquated” which means the same thing as antediliuvian

yes that’s the correct answer: “flourish”…“antediluvian.” I am 100% positive. antediluvian was the strongest, most applicable word available.

Likewise, preclude and extenuate have similar meanings, but preclude was the best choice for the artist with no talent who dreams of being famous thing.

Can you tell me what the question was.??

Why would a company floursh “DESPITE” a computer system??

can you explain this to me. Please?

BTW Languished and flourish has exact opposite meaning

Ok: here is the basic English translation of what the sentence was actually trying to say. You misinterpreted it to mean that the company was doing badly. It wasn’t. The point of the sentence was:

“The company made lots of money even though their computers were old and sucky.”

They flourished DESPITE key word showing opposites/contradiction their antediluvian crap-mobiles.

Ok…

I guess that could be it…

But I thought

The company did “bad” even though they had a computer system (which is supposed to be a good thing) because it was so old… you see what I am saying?

yes, I understand your thought process.

can someone explain the solictious/candid problem
