I gifted DD and SIL the coasters with the night sky of their wedding location as their 10 year anniversary gift.
If they arrive in time, all kids and spouses are getting CarbonClean glasses cleaners as something to open, along with cash and a donation to the charitable organization of their choice in their honor.

At first I read this as, if the kids arrive on time, they will get their presents. And I’m like, gosh, that’s a little harsh!

Older s and dil wanted a new vitamix 5200 bender. Done (ordered but on delay for shipping. Thats ok except a neighbor may have to pick it up for them if it arrives when they are out of town). Younger s wanted a new garmin (previous watch I got him fell off in a mosh pit or something!) It’s $$$ and the one he wants is now out of stock. He recommended some $$ pregnancy pillow for his wife. Done. It arrived the other day and he hid it to save for end of the month. But she is due in Feb. I want her have maximal use out of it so i asked him to give it to her. The sent a funny photo of grandson sitting in it! They also want a drip coffee pot. They asked me to look at the wire cutter reviews. Any recommendations?

I realized I hadn’t done anything for Christmas (although she did get married this year and got gifts for that), but hopped on Macy’s and sent an air fryer, pots and pans set, a cutting board, a cast iron fry pan, and some dish towels (you can tell I didn’t stray far from the kitchen department). All will be delivered by Friday. I told my daughter if she wanted them wrapped and under the tree to have her MIL do it.
Other kid? Still nothing.

A better quality kitchen utility knife for my kid who cooks; his partner is getting a houseplant pot that looks like their dog (lucky find). Other kid is getting some incomprehensible audio component hooker-upper whatsis he asked for and that partner is getting a set of soup spoons that had been requested. I am pleased and calm before the storm

I’ve posted this elsewhere, but our “kids” got a trip with us to Grand Cayman for a week mostly paid for. We likely won’t see any of them on Christmas Day, but they will get stockings when we see them around then. My husband was sure I’d have trouble NOT buying gifts, but I haven’t missed the stress at all. I may be a little sad when there are no kids with us for Christmas, but I got a week with them, so I can’t complain.

I have my kids tell me their ideas so they get gift they like and will use. My son asked for this jacket. It’s very nice.
