Actually, the 9/11 commission noted that Barbara Olson called her husband and told him that the hijakers of her plane had knives and box cutters. The 9/11 commission also notes that the hijakers practiced getting box cutters through airport security in order to test the security systems in place. That’s pretty good evidence that box cutters were used on 9/11.</p>

<p>I’m a big believer in courtesy and respect and think we should always deal that way. However, I think there are certain governments/factions that have a vested interest in fomenting hatred against us and Israel, and so there is a limit to what any of our actions can achieve. I guess what I’m saying is that at the core I believe that there really are terrorists who want to and will try to kill Americans, while at the same time there are things that our nation must do to move relations forward. My point in beginning this thread is to remind myself and others that vigilance is still required.</p>
