That’s so cool that you took a course based solely on Russia! My state doesn’t offer a lot of courses based on other countries- only World History, Euro and the basic languages (off-line Spanish and on-line French, Mandarin, Russian and Portuguese.) Do you have a favorite Russian author? I know it’s a bit cliché but I’ve always loved the work of Tolstoy.

I think it asked your teacher on what kind of student they think you are. They also may include extracurricular activities or leadership positions you’ve had. I think this is all to see whether or not the teacher you asked actually knows you and knows if you have a passion for languages. </p>

<p>Sending good vibes to everyone! I really think next Monday will be the first day…I mean, the first interviews are the 14th and it seems like two weeks of notice sounds reasonable. I guess we’ll see! I’ll be on vacation next week, so I’ll have something to distract me if I have to wait awhile during the rolling notifications period…Hoping for good news :)</p>
<p>@evan241 I really want good news. I find out from my top uni. on the 12th so these next couple of weeks are gonna be the most anxiety filled weeks I have ever had. I won’t be able to handle two rejections. I want to be accepted into at least one thing. Do we all hear back at the same time?</p>
<p>@girlintheworld - Nope, they usually have rolling notifications, I believe. I’m excited guys. Not getting my hopes up too much (trying not to) but…ah Turkey is a dream of mine guys. </p>
<p>I’m so worried about everything. I literally remind my friends about the notifications every chance I get I’m all like “I’m so excited about December 1st!” and then in their heads they are probably stabbing me with their pencils. >~< My thanksgiving break starts on wednesday so I know when I don’t have school to keep my mind off of things, I will start over thinking about the applications. XD lol Iv’e already re-watched the videos on youtube about Nsli-y Korea and now I’m starting on the other countries… I just really want to make it! !!! :D</p>

<p>I don’t really mind, I WOULD LOVE TO GO ANYWHERE! And most people there also speak Russian. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to actually be able to go to Russia, but I understand if we can’t. Where did you find out that it was for sure cancelled? I just heard that it was most-likely… Probably the same thing, but whatever! </p>
