My daughter applied for Russia summer, with China summer as her second choice.
I applied for Korean Year and Korean Summer. Year used to be my first choice but I recently had to swap to summer as first choice. I got rejected first round last year so crossing my fingers as the notification time gets closer!

I put Arabic first and any second for summer, and I am so anxious to just find out if I’m a semi-finalist or not. That way if I’m rejected I can at least start planning my summer. So nerve racking!
Has anyone heard anything yet? Do they also send out rejection emails?

While they extended the due date for the application by a few days, they shortened the date that the recommendation and parent letters are due by 1 day (from Nov. 10 to 9). If looking at past precedent based on application due dates, they gave themselves 5 weeks to review before semifinal notifications were made, thereby putting the notification date closer to next Thursday the 7th (I know…killer). However, if based on announce dates in the past, it has been Dec. 1st or 2nd.
