<p>And that there are several “places like Harvard and Yale” that many scholars hold as their first choice (which correlates nicely with Harvard’s steady decline in number of scholars in the past few years). A scholar interested in business might choose Wharton or Stern over Harvard/Yale, etc etc.</p>
<p>Oh and the figures above were about scholars (of which there are only 8200, right?). There are many more semifinalists and finalists who aren’t recognized.</p>
