It was about 24% of all incoming Freshman. However, by the time they graduate (and UF takes in junior transfers into the other majors, students switch majors), engineering will only make up about 13% to 14% of all BS graduates.

Fun Fact.
In 1999, it was 821 students and the middle 50% for SAT and ACT (combined) was 1140-1320 and 24 to 30.
In 2018, it was 1,674 and the middle 50% ACT test scores (can’t find the SAT) is 28 to 33.

EDIT: Since UF doesn’t consider major, the middle 50% test scores should be similar to the overall freshman class (self selected engineering majors do tend to have better test scores). The overall (accepted not enrolled) 2023 freshman class: SAT score of 1364 and an ACT score of 30.
