I know a lot of people - including 2 of my kids who went dined someplace special the night BEFORE NY Eve and then stayed in cooking a fun item at home on NYE (pirogies!) The third kid went out with her roommate NYE but they got an early reservation and also were home 8ish and chose a restaurant they could walk to to not have to deal with cars/crazy drivers.
