NY Eve/Day Activities, Drinks, Food!

Missed this thread - not online for a few days. We’ve hosted a new years eve party at our house for the past 25+ years, skipping only a year or two. So, we renewed the party again this year after a gap of two years thanks to Covid. Not many “kids” this year, but the parents all came. Theme for food was “souper salad” with some finger sandwiches and appetizers. Three different soups, with all the fixings and about four different kinds of salads. Went over very well - everyone contributes.

As usual, we ate, sang karaoke, played games until about 11.45 or so and then watched the ball drop in NY with champagne and sparkling apple cider. Folks stayed until about 2.30 playing games and talking.

New Years day was quiet - finished cleaning, putting away all the dishes, taking down the tree and mantle decor, packing away everything until next year.
