NY Eve/Day Plans? Food? Entertainment?

My husband made Croatian sarma today (aka stuffed cabbage rolls). He used a traditional recipe, which is a bit different from the Americanized version. He used fermented cabbage leaves and did not use any tomatoes nor any tomato sauce or paste. It’s a traditional dish that’s served for holidays in Croatia; in my family, we always had it on New Year’s Day. I think every ethnic group has some version of this!

We had tamales! Ds2 and I made Mexican rice, and his gf made raspberry basil margs, really strong, which were much appreciated during the end of that UT game.

Eating leftovers from the last night’s feast!

The fireworks show at the Space Needle last night was OK. We went outside to the point where we could see fireworks on the top of the tower… had KING5 on the iPad to watch the show. There was a 5 second delay between the real thing and the televised “live” version, so we could “preview” what would be blown up.
