NY Unified Hotels

blackbelt, “cheap” is all relative in New York. You won’t find a truly cheap hotel there. If you can find one for $200, you’re doing well, as hotel prices in the city have increased dramatically in the past couple of years. And they were high to begin with! Here is an article that I bookmarked when a similar discussion was taking place here on CC last year.

The Courtyard Marriott and the Hampton Inn are both within easy walking distance to the Unifieds site. There are dozens and dozens of hotels in the Times Square area but it will be tough to find many around $200/night. There are also several taxes which will be added on to whatever price you’ll be paying. One other hotel in the center of that area that I have known many people to choose is The Edison. I just did a quick search on their site and it looks like there are some rooms available in early February for a base rate of $229, which is a great price. Best of luck to you!
