Albert is NYU information portal. Just type “Albert NYU” on Google search. It comes first in the list. Generally you get information regarding your application status over there.

I still haven’t received any news from NYUAD. I’ll call them tomorrow.

Jasmine95, I do not think that there is much to worry about but one thing I can tell you is that you should have received log in information to Albert in the first place. Just call NYU, they are the best people from whom you can inquire information. I am not representative of NY university and I might be wrong when it comes to certain information.

Congratulations to those who got invited! I am really happy for all of you!
I’ll wait till Monday and I hope that I’ll get a chance to see all of you during coming CW :)

well, I think NYUAD does not only look at your Stats, cause I really failed my SATs…but I did well on my extra-curriculum. so I guess stats is important, but it is not the only thing that defines you.

Guys, wait! Do not lose your hopes just yet! My stats aren’t great either but they are good enough from my point of view but it does not mean that my marks are perfect. I believe that my application was good and I told hell of a story in my application essays, my life story on which one can write a best seller! I am sure that some of us must get the invitations. Where on the CC have you seen that invitations to CW were sent in one go? I never found such examples!

My school officials told me to wait and hope for the best. Do not lose your hopes just yet and trust me I know how it is is to feel to be one step behind. In psychology we call it an 'inferiority" complex and all of us have it and that’s a alright to have it until you decide to give up.

Life is not made up of rainbows and nobody said that our journey is going to be an easy one, but we have to keep moving on. That’s what life is. Once you stop walking and looking forward, life ends and nothing can be found beyond that point other than death!

If we do not make it to CW let’s not make our failures to define us, let them teach us and make us stronger and more resilient towards uncertainties that we will face in our journey on this planet.

From my experience right now, applying to NYUAD is like riding a horse. You need to understand that you might fall down or get bitten and you need to go along with those thoughts when you do things like that. It’s as scary as hell to be thrown off the horse while galloping on a full speed and one might even develop a kind of phobia. I know how it is because I happened to fall with the horse when it stumbled while I was galloping. I get the same feeling about NYUAD That odd feeling in guts or butterflies in a stomach as some people call it.

I want to conclude by saying that if you love something, if you aspire to be someone and you love what you do, then you have to conquer the fear. You need to go along with the flow of life and not fight back, because that’s how pessimists are being born. By going along with life I do not mean that you have to sit back and do nothing, what I mean is that when you face a failure you need to accept it and move on to another goal.

i thought my stats were good and that’s why i applied, i also have extra curricular stuff like i’m head girl at my school and other things, but i mean there still may be a chance xx

Hsawok, I do not mean to Intimidate anyone by what I am including below.

My percentage is only 83.5% and probably all of you got higher scores than me but considering the fact that I moved to an English school in 2008 with a vocabulary of 200 words I achieved a lot and my percentage is rising from one year to another.
I wrote great essays in my common application. I was a house captain of over 450 people in 2010-2011. I also had another position in school Parliament in 2011-2012 but hell with it. I published a book in 2012 and I won art competition in Asia’s Largest Inter-School fiesta for two Years in a row ( 2011-2012, 2012-2013) I also won a number of other internationally recognized art competitions. I taught art to children since 2008 and I’ve been training animals such as horses and reconnecting people in an NGO since 2010 with India’s first National geographer. More importantly I never received any help from my family. I always did everything on my own because of some family issues.
If that’s not good enough than I just do not understand how genius are those people who get admitted to NYUAD!
