<p>NYUAD is not the best option at the moment. The “campus” consists of 2 connected buildings, acceptance rate is low, and not a lot of majors are offered. AND, you need to be able to handle heat, because it gets unbelievably hot here in Abu Dhabi. However, a new campus is opening in 2014 here that will be larger and offer more majors, so that might be an option for rising sophs.</p>
<p>AimlessWander, there are actually, technically, 4 campuses (depending how you define “campus”) : the Sama Tower, which is the residence for students/faculty; the Downtown Campus, where the bulk of the classes are done; the Center for Science and Engineering, which is home to several science labs for the practical work; and the Officer’s Club for sports and recreation. </p>
<p>While I agree that the range of majors is limited at the moment to the Arts and Sciences + PoliSci/Econ, this is because NYUAD, unlike NYU-NY is a Liberal Arts College. There is therefore less variety than NYU-NY, but be assured that the depth of courses, as well as the general Core curriculum to provide breadth, more than makes up for this.</p>
<p>You’re right about the temperature of course. We can only hide in airconditioned rooms for so long… However, we have summer break from May-August which lets us conveniently sidestep the hottest months, which is something.</p>
<p>And I know everyone at NYUAD goes on about this, but the studying environment here is absolutely amazing - both students and faculty alike - and it is simply amazing how eye-opening being exposed to students and cultures from all around the world is. I think that’s a different type of intelligence (perhaps a better word is “wisdom”) which no textbook can offer you.</p>
<p>Last year I had a 2-3 week obsession with wanting to go to NYUAD 
One thing that got me really excited was that the admissions site said they look for “global citizens” - my school is called CSI High School for International Studies, and one of the big things about it, like it’s mission, is to make global citizens, so I was like, “I’m so getting in!”</p>
<p>I still have 2 years before I apply though And I think NYU Shanghai would be so much better xD</p>
<p>My dream university. I’m in my senior year! I am going to try my best to get in!!! Also, I would love to get in contact with undergraduates that are currently enrolled in NYUAD. So please, if you happen to see this and you are enrolled, any help at all will be appreciated!</p>

I checked the box to be considered for the NYU NY but NYUAD is my first choice!
I was assuming that they may be sending out the invitation after we send in our financial profile, which is due in like three days! End of the month seems to far away btw~ for the invitations to be sent out haha

<p>Hi. I am an ED1 applicant too. So excited to see you guys here! I ticked both boxes of AD and NYC campus( does this really affect the chance?). I have not sent my FA form yet but I think AD is need blind so maybe it does not matter if you are sending css profile?( I’ ve heard someone who didn’t apply FA at all also got full ride in the end). I think the invitation is going to arrive these days coz my senior of class 2015 got his invitation on 13 Nov last year. Hope we all can make it and meet in AD:)</p>

<p>I have submited yesterday(12th), and on CSS profile it shows me that they will receive or something else on 14th which is two days after i submited.</p>
