<p>& for those who haven’t received the invitation letter are you guys all in the M.E??:D</p>
<p>hey all. i think they are sending out invitations based on the order in which they received applications. so those of us who sent our applications towards the end of october might get our invite later than those who sent them early…(i hope)</p>
<p>anyone here from pakistan or nearby who hasn’t received an invitation yet?</p>
<p>also…i know its a bit personal but ppl who got their invitations…if u dont mind can you please tell us some of ur stats?</p>
<p>I personally think they’re sending the invitations based on your geographical location, but that’s only my personal assumption. I think the only persons who received their invitations live in the US, but I’m really not sure.</p>
<p>so far the applicants we knew who received invitation seemed to be from the US, but I am not sure if it’s based on location. Coz I have 2 seniors of class 2015 they both are from China but one got on the 13th the other received on the 17th</p>

anyways… Why can’t they seriously send it all on one day…?! -_-;; haha</p>

<p>Well it’s not even 1am monday in abu dhabi and it’s only mid sunday afternoon in New York so I’d give it a little bit longer before they open up and start sending stuff out.</p>

<p>Suppapp, are you sure they send CW invitations from AD!?..Actually, we all sent materials to NYC Washington Square North…So, I guess they send it from USA!..Maybe you used CA to submit everything…But I need to send a package to their office in NYC actually…</p>

<p>Sorry, but what are these invitations for? I applied for NYU in NYC, but it automatically put me for decision at NYUAD. Was wondering what this discussion about invitations is about?</p>
<p>did you check the box in commonapp which says about choosing alternative campus in Abu Dhabi?</p>
<p>it is about, that if you get invited you go there for 3 days :D</p>
<p>Well, you must have ticked the box in Common App, where they ask you if you’d like to be considered for admissions at the Abu Dhabi campus. I don’t know if you’re well informed about it, but NYU has opened a portal campus in the Middle East, the UAE to be more precise.
A crucial part of the admission process is the “Candidate Weekend”, where every student is offered a free ticket to Abu Dhabi, and spends the whole WE there. But beware, it’s not all fun 
You also have to attend sample classes, as well as interviews (I’ve also heard that we have to write essays, but nothing’s confirmed yet).
The actual dates of those WE depend if you applied for ED1, 2 or RD. The ED1 CW will take place from the 8 to the 11th December.</p>

And if you’ve received an invitation to this WE, consider yourself extremely lucky: the admission rate is one of the lowest in the world, with only 2.3% of applicants admitted!</p>
