NYU Class of 2019 Discussions ED1

Does anyone know anything about the school of nursing ?

So… no 12:30 wave?

when my sister applied in the past year…she got her the acceptance email at around 2…

@afNY418‌ I don’t think we’re in the clear just yet. My logic is that as well as applying to Gallatin in NY I applied to NYU in Abu Dhabi. In Abu Dhabi 117 of us were shortlisted and invited to a weekend so we’re all on a FB group together. Only 4 people on the group have been rejected so far… I’m certain not 112 of us are accepted, so more rejections must be coming. Since admissions decisions for all three campuses come from the same place… I don’t think we’re home free yet.

Wait. The website says “We expect that all admission decisions will be sent via email on December 15th after 5pm (Eastern Standard Time) for Early Decision I candidates.” Does that mean they won’t send them until then or they’ll come in any time between now and then?

@runaway most friends here are in class now…

@xinniiiye‌ 2 pm EST?

@Snoaon could you please post the link? thx

@sarrahhdaherr I don’t think so… The four people might just be the only ones who have reported their decisions. I guess there are more people who got rejected but have said nothing yet.

@eriacajordan yea EST

Last year AD and SH rejections only came in one wave, but I am not sure for this year.

Anyone know which schools are done with rejections?

This is my theory: Last year ED1 found out on a Saturday so the time didn’t matter as they were not in school. So this year, since we are in school, they split it and sent out rejections generally before school and hopefully will send acceptances just after school at 3. Most schools don’t try to send you admissions notifications during school

Log into Albert and click “applicants” at the top and then in the middle it says “admissions decisions release,” read that.

@newyorkeratheart‌ very logical answer

@Snoaon‌ this isn’t new information. Abbott said that they’ll be released all day today on a blog post, which is more recent than the Albert notification. Also that says they’ll be done by 5PM implying it’ll be an all day event.

1:00 wave?

I was rejected for GLS this morning. I didn’t apply for FA. I had a 3.3 gpa and a 30 act so I’m sure that gpa killed me.

Admissions officer told me the ED rate for Stern was around 20%.

Also no email yet… getting cautiously optimistic

@NYUFan101‌ It looks like if there’s another wave, it would be deferrals (that’s what I saw on the FB page, at least)
