No change here. Applied 9/29 with no FA.

@510shopgirl did you apply for fa?

Yeah I did @businessguy12 hopefully it will change later on

Have other people gotten the change yet?

@510shopgirl did you apply with FA

Yes I applied with fa @xim0204

But maybe I just don’t quality for it idk

*qualify

@510shopgirl Idkk because I know for a fact that I qualify for no need based financial aid at all

Hey everyone! Dropping by to wish you all the best of luck - I was an ED1 applicant last year and am now a happy NYU student. If you have any questions feel free to pm/shout out at me and I’ll check back in a few days. This forum helped me relieve a lot of stress while playing the waiting game and I want to give back. :)

@VioletAvenger AYYEEE what’s up bahahaha do you remember the FA change from last year?

After casually scrolling through some of the comments:

FA “changes” do not reflect any final decision the admissions committee has made on your application. They are just regular shifts and updates in the system as your application gets processed. Last year, we tried very hard to correlate these changes to some sort of system, but the most we ended up with was that an FA change means that they’ve processed some part of your application and more of your information has been entered into the system.

Stay positive! You’ve already submitted your application and done your hard work. Now is the time to enjoy your last year of high school. :)

Stop trying to source code or analyze NYU Albert - it’s based off of a customized client version of a debilitated Oracle PeopleSoft platform. It’s a pain in the ass to penetrate.

Wait @businessguy12 how do you know that you don’t qualify for fa? Before applying I felt like I didn’t qualify either but everyone recommended to apply for it anyway. Soooo…

@businessguy12 haha yeah! It caused a lot of contention on this forum.

@VioletAvenger so there are people who didn’t have the change that got in? That kinda makes me feel a little better ugh

@510shopgirl There have been, but a surprising few. A lot of people had their FA change during the last hour or day before decision day. No need to worry about it.

@VioletAvenger what are you thoughts on the whole thing? and @510shopgirl ehhh…based on my family income there no chance of FA for me

Like I’m 200000% sure I’m not getting need based money

@businessguy12 Worrying doesn’t help. I worried until I realized that there was no point in worrying. But it is quite an experience!

NYU is NOTORIOUS for dishing out little if any financial aid.

@VioletAvenger what have you heard of the GLS program?! How much FA did you get?
