NYU Class of 2019 Discussions ED1

@Rahshe‌ @Jarjarbinks23‌ I haven’t gotten the change either :confused:

@ericajordan‌ @Rahshe‌ @Jarjarbinks23‌ do you guys have any year? Mine just says “award access not available” with no year. do you guys have the same thing?

@fazeeeeeeel‌ I have 2014 and 2015 with “no awards access available.” the 2014 is probably cuz I did a program over the summer.

@fazeeeeeeel‌ I have the same thing as you. No year

@ht1997‌ I went to Albert–>applicant login–>and then after signing in I looked on that page, as well as the student center. I don’t know why I can’t see it…

I have 2016

What does 2015 mean?

Hey guys. So yes, people either have Award Access Not Available without a year in front (not the FA change), or they have 2016 No self service access for this year (the FA change). As far as I know, no one has the 2016 Award Access Not Available.

@rahshe I have the same thing as you with 2014 and 2015 Award access not available. It is simply because we did an NYU summer program. I also recently got the 2016 No self service change so now I have all three years.

@AlysiaG‌ If you login into Albert, you should see it.

I still have “Award access not available.” – I’m trying not to worry but i am still. I need to binge eat now.

did anyones ED change to ED2 randomly? I applied ED1 on the 1st of November according to my common app but it says my app was submitted the 2nd of november for EDII. Any suggestions?

@gillygrg‌ My first thought is that this could be a sign that you have been deferred… but if I were you I would call/email the admissions office and say that you noticed on your Albert that your status has changed to EDII, but you applied ED1, and could they figure out what the problem was.

@gillygrg‌ Was it always like that or did it change? It might be that you were deferred to ED2, but I’d give them a call just in case.

@rfree18‌ I don’t think that they can defer you to another early decision you would be deferred to the regular application pool if anything and I don’t think NYU even does that. I would be accepting of that theory but it says my application was submitted November 2, 2014 while my common app was submitted the 1st. I don’t think they would simply change the date as if my application was submitted a day later.

@gillygrg‌ It doesn’t happen a lot, but there are some people who did get deferred to ED2 in other years. The application date is just the day they received it, not the day you submitted it. I submitted mine on a Saturday but the date shows as the following Monday, so I wouldn’t worry about that.

@Jarjarbinks23‌ The admissions officer said that the FA change is simply speculation and carries no indication. She also gave me the link to the deans blog where he himself pretty much shits on college confidential for all the theories they produce haha. I posted it on an earlier page

Out of curiosity, do you guys think that there is any chance at all that we will still find out the 12th? I know earlier on the page people were speculating about whether it would actually be the 15th, but now it seems everyone is quite certain it will be then. Is there any hope we’ll hear the 12th anymore?

@ericajordan‌ I definitely think there’s still a chance. Based on last year, we should be hearing an official update from Sean Abbott on the admissions blog sometime next week.

@rfree18‌ but then do you think itd change just like that? I dont understand ugh im just paranoid i belive but I dont think its likely they would move me to ed2 with a 2280 and my ecs i fewl theyd just accept or deny as it says on their admissions page and then it probably wouldnt say it now? i dont know

Fuck. My program on my application changed from Stern to The real estate program. This better not be indicative and I pray to God is a glitch. Stern or the highway am I right?
