@hammadil Your SAT’s are a little low. However your ACT is average and you have a good GPA. You have a decent shot!

Are you guys just gonna read your email at night or check it throughout the day?? I don’t know whether to turn the notifications off my gmail app from my phone so that I can’t see it during the day…

@vbg123 I will likely stay up to about 12:30 to see whether or not I am in the initial barrage of rejections. Then I’ll get some sleep cause I have an exam tomorrow and just check throughout the day.

omg guys im so nervous ABOUT TO CRY

@xinniiiye me too! I think I’m going to try and sleep early and see if I’m rejected when I wake up for school

@vbg123 I tell myself it would be better to just wait till like 5 or so but in reality I’ll probably be checking that bitch all day

haha they censor stuff thats cute

lol yes they do

Same here-I submitted my common app mid September so it’s been extremely anxiety inducing since then!

you guys are so lucky that you can stay up late and kinda get it over with, i’m in Italy which is 6 hours ahead so I have to wait until much later hahah that’s funny about he censoring

Btw I know I’m being irrational as there is absolutely as my admissions decision is pretty much irrevocable by now but can someone please chance me for NYU’s school of nursing. I have an 1820 SAT (I know nothing special) and a 4.0 GPA unweighted. My essay was fairly strong-had several people read it and pretty solid recommendations-one from my principal one from my regents is history teacher and one from my honors language arts teacher.

@Lorb97 Honestly I’d chance you but I don’t think chancing at this point is going to make anything better. Just believe in yourself and this will all be over by this time tomorrow!!

Alright let’s clear this up so I can sleep tonight. I got “2016- no self-service access for this aid year.” or as it’s better known as in the forum “the change”. Does anyone know the exact correlation between the change and admission?

@WealdstoneRaider I also got the FA change and I’m an international student

Just want everyone to remember that regardless of what your admissions decision is, don’t lose hope! You’ll end up at a great university and you’ll enjoy college, even if you don’t end up at NYU. This is just a bump in the road and you have your whole life in front of you (as well as other, numerous colleges you would love to attend - you just don’t know it yet!) This may sound cliche but keep your head up! A rejection is not the end of the world, and if worst comes to worst and you just NEED to be at NYU then you can always transfer. My point is that don’t let your rejection bog you down and make you give up on everything because at the end of the day, you didn’t lose NYU, NYU lost you. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!! GO CLASS OF 2015!!!

Haha good point- I think I just need some validation that I actually have a solid chance in getting in

So any other black people out there applying?

someone chance me: 2240, hispanic, ~3.5 with big upward trend and lots of AP/honors and good recs

Wait so based on last year, rejection mails will be sent starting from midnight of the 15th?

Is it bad that I didn’t get the FA change? All I have is something about Award-Access.
