@HSTCA2016 My D still has Brooklyn Freshman under term.
@momhs2016 for what school?
When you log into the Albert portal, the paragraph about decisions now says March 31st after 5pm. Looks like March 31st is officially the date.
@HSTCA2016 She applied to Tandon
Two recent tweets from @MeetNYU “Admissions decisions will becoming towards the end of next week. More details to come soon.” and “More details about decisions will be coming next week.”
It seems like Tandon applicants are getting a change to freshman, but applicants to other schools aren’t. I wouldn’t be too surprised if they finally found a way to fix it with the new housing layout and everything
I mean, they have to come at the end of next week (it’ll be the 1st by then).
I’m getting so impatient waiting for my decision
Does anyone know if NYU admits by major OR the specific college? I’m aware that ~70% of Stern students are finance majors, so does NYU admit a person based on entering Stern or applying as a finance major specifically, for example?
Also, fellow Stern applicants, feel free to post your stats below for the rest of us Sterniens!
Was admitted to Stern on 3/15 via email. I think I got the acceptance email early because it came accompanied by a scholarship.
GPA: 3.8
SAT: 2240
SAT Math II: 780
SAT Spanish: 730
SAT Chem: 670 (yikes)––I don’t think I sent this one in, though
Classes junior year: AP BC Calc (5), AP Chem (4), Chinese (regular level), US history (Honors), English (Honors)
Classes this year: AP Comparative Government (worst class I’ve ever taken :P), AP Stats, AP European History, Philosophy (Honors), Chinese (regular level), Economics (honors). I also took Multivariable Calculus at Yale during first semester
ECs: most were business oriented jobs/activities and outside of school; they were by no means jaw-dropping yet highly admirable. The only thing I partook in in school was Investment Club (high-ranking position)
Location: CT
Income (is NYU need-blind? lol idk): 70k––that may seem like comfortable living, but given the multiple, toilsome jobs my father has to hold to live in arguably a very, very affluent town, we could be seen as low-income.
School: suburban and public. If I had to say, my school is on the competitive side
Applied to Stern as a Finance Major
Also @blessupbro not trying to be a dick but just pointing out, I think the term is Sternies. After you get in, bless the f*** up XD
New to thread! I’m sorry, I don’t know if this was discussed earlier, but are decisions released via email or Albert portal? Thanks
When I’m accessing the housing link, I’m getting an application for summer 2016 and I’m also getting academy term 2016-2017 with ‘non-renewable undergrad’ as the housing classification. What does this mean?
The official NYU admissions page has changed from April 1st to March 31st a couple different times, but we should know for sure when they update their admissions blog probably Tuesday or Wednesday.

Anyones welcome to answer. Can you guys tell me whats the average GPA for an individual accepted into LSP - Core program?
@Garyguy909 I’m really curious about that too – LSP is my 2nd option after the media major at steinhardt. I hear LSP is easier to get into so I hope I at least get accepted to that program
@Geiseln , don’t worry man. I applied to Stern as my first option, that is why I’m so concerned. I hope I get into LSP. If I do, I’ll probably transfer to CAS Economics in 2 years. People do get accepted with a 3.2+ as far as what I’ve read. Its basically an associate degree so it should be general requirements only? Who knows.
If I get into LSP, I’m 101% going haha. From what I have heard about LSP, it sounds amazing.
However, NYU doesn’t give any approximate GPA for any course so, anything can happen. Fingers crossed anyway!
I dont quite understand why to access the housing etc portal you have to grab a link shared by useful friends on CC. Where/how did folks even find this portal? Not sure how to tell if what is on it is applicant info or for admitted students?https://home.nyu.edu/
besides merit scholarships can we get more money through FA and the CSS?
Have any of you gotten campus invites recently? I haven’t but I heard some people have…
