My son gets the same thing when he clicks on deposits and then presses “select a term.” It has the two options: summer 2024 and fall 2024. Hmmmmm.

This is what he gets when he clicks on file new petition (which lists his name, an NYU email, and his NetID, all of which are greyed out and I have gone over in black for confidentiality).

Alright, I checked all threads for regular decision starting from the class of 2025. Here’s what I learned:

  • If the buttons disappeared, you can check your housing portal. If there are two buttons, the decision hasn’t been made yet.

  • In the housing portal, anything with ‘spring’ is bad.

  • For the class of 2025, ‘only summer’ seemed like an acceptance, but for the class of 2026, there were folks who were rejected with ‘summer only.’ Also, one person had both buttons disappear along with ‘summer only’ and was rejected.

  • ‘Summer’ + ‘academic year’ + ‘waitlist undergrad’ is basically the most positive sign.

I think you all can start assuming something when your buttons disappear. I have no buttons.

Last year, my sister had only ‘summer,’ and she was accepted into CAS, but she doesn’t remember how many buttons she had (1 or 0).

Wdym by only summer? would this be in the housing portal or somewhere else. In my portal I can only sign up for summer of 2024

hey guys, im not sure if this means anything but when i go to the bursar esuite i have a student account and ID thats different from my application ID and im able to make a deposit for fall and summer of 2024. does anyone have this aswell?

Yes everybody has a student id.

Interesting. Same. It had an Account ID that shows only last 4 numbers and is different than NetID.

Same here. I could make a $1000 deposit for “Fall housing reservation fee.”

My theory is if you have this letter on your portal, it means you got in. It only makes sense because some people don’t have it!
