*****NYU Early Decision 2 Class of 2020 Discussion*****

@barcodeIlIl So what happened with NYU? Are you going to end up at Michigan like you wanted?

@ofcourseimjk pm me your number

@desie1 I’ll be going to NYU now. I realized there is no way for me to withdraw from NYU and since I got into CAS, the decision is binding. Happy with the way things turned out though since now that I’m officially accepted to NYU, its a lot easier to put mich behind.

Did anyone not get any updates or emails whatsoever? I’m still waiting for mine and I’m all the way out here in India. Nothing has come my way yet.

@jazzy03 I haven’t got any emails or updates either.

The housing application isn’t available yet; it opens on March 7th. Don’t worry too much about it right now, and make sure you do your research on all the different options before submitting your application. For instance, people think that since Third North has a dining hall, it’s a good option, but the dining hall sucks and 3N is a far walk, so the only pros of 3N are being near all the bars and being the “party” res hall.

Thank you! @seeniebeenie

hey! anxious RD applicant here. would anyone mind sharing your stats and/or scholarship? congrats on your admissions!!

@jazzy03 I assume you’re wondering about acceptance letters. They will be mailing acceptances later. To check your status now, you need to log into Albert

Did you call NYU??? What did they say in regards to your admission to NYUSH and NYC? @honorsstudent16

what is a good freshman dorm? I want a dorm that has great location but also great for socialization - would like a fun freshman dorm but also get my work done. since nyc is our campus I think the first way to meet others will be in the dorm.

@chloe123456 It depends on what your price range is, if you want to be a part of a special interest program, and what amenities you want. I’ll probably make a thread with a rundown of all the housing options and what they’re really like.

@ofcourseimjk Are you going to call them?

@SquadGoals yes I did, and they said it means we didn’t get admission into the the new york campus. ughhhh shouldn’t even have applied to shanghai my stats aren’t the best for stern, but def for CAS and LPS which I would have gotten into bc I listed them as a second choice

@honorsstudent16
Would you like to go to NYUSH? It is also a decent school amalgamating harmoniously with local culture.
Yes. Given your stats, you should get into CAS, but who knows? I didn’t get in NYUSH, either but i got in NYC.

@Chalamagne916 yeah I will def consider it. Of course I’m sure NYUSH is great, but I just preferred NYU way more. Congrats on your acceptance!

@NTXDad Yes I know about NYUAlbert, but shouldn’t there have been a mail giving us a password to that account? I only have the NYU ID. Even when I tried the forgot password option I discovered that they hadn’t even made my account yet. I wonder what’s happening.

Can’t decide which residence hall to choose… I don’t mind if it is low-cost or high-cost, I just want a residence hall that has a good and active social life, AC, reasonably spacious, relatively new, personal bathroom and if possible a kitchen. I don’t mind walking but I certainly don’t want to have more than 1 roommate. Any suggestions?

@RSalvatierra
HAHA…:slight_smile:
My demands are opposite to yours: quieter and peaceful, better commodious, personal bathroom, maybe single, and at the center of the whole Washington square network.

@RSalvatierra I’ve seriously been watching all the youtube videos ever made on NYU dorms I’m going insane trying to pick which one I like the most. Personally, I don’t care much for a kitchen so Hayden and Brittany looked really cool… I just hope I won’t get stuck at Rubin (No AC!!!)
