International and I still have access. I got scared for a second bc I used the link on my phone, but the link wouldn’t load. So I went on Albert and accessed the housing forms from there, and the link worked!

@clueroflooks Don’t get your hopes down just because of these theories. Nothing is proven yet, and we have only a few hours until we get the ACTUAL decision.
Despite that, we shouldn’t feel bad whether we got accepted or rejected. There are plenty of colleges out there, and what’s important if we make the best of our time there. A college doesn’t determine your future, you do.
@clueroflooks don’t get frustrated because of the bookstore link… I don’t think lots of us here can actually log into the link except for those who attended pre college at NYU. Only 2 or 3 people reported that they managed to log into the website. The bookstore link theory is not proven and weak.
Yeah the bookstore link seems really sketchy to me… I don’t think this means anything. Housing has a much higher chance of indicating admission than the bookstore link (if either do actually indicate admission).
Also… in response to the person saying housing is too obvious of a glitch: the FA glitch has been well known for the past two-three years before NYU finally fixed it this year. When it comes to admissions offices they likely have very little IT assistance to patch these glitches and are much more concerned with actually having their systems process and handle the large volume of applicants (because if something goes wrong there it could lead to lawsuits and massive issues with reputation of the university). Especially since most colleges seem to outsource a lot of their admissions technology now with the Common Application and Oracle for Applicant log-in they have little control over the actual platforms (you’ll notice most of your other schools you have applied to have very similar looking applicant portals just with different logos). Thanks to us on CC, however, NYU is well informed of all these glitches and when they get the opportunity they obviously do attempt to patch them even if it takes a few years (like this year with the FA glitch and School Applied to location).

For a brief second, it said I was not authorized to view the page.
But it’s back to normal now. I really do hope this doesn’t mean anything bad.

Does anyone know if they are going to send us a decision letter in the mail in the next week or will they only post decision on Albert?
@deller123 I think all major school will send you decision letters via snail mail, it’s like a “traditional” thing. Some public schols will ONLY send decicions via snail mail.
But snail mail is unstable and may take a while to come for faraway states and other countries. So they have to release information on Albert for you to have time to consider the financial packages and respond within 25 days because of the ED rule.
@deller123 You’ll get a nice, thick folder in the mail with a pretty acceptance letter, a welcome booklet, and a next steps brochure.
