@sternhopeful2018 I got the FA change today and I applied to Stern ED II from Texas

My FA changed today to 2015 Award Access not available

There’s not 2014 though o.O

@chances1please 2015 is what you want, not 2014, because it’s the upcoming year. So congrats. FA change is just a theory and isnt 100%, but still. :)

@chances1please nice man! Hopefully like other people have said it’s region by region. Waiting for the New York region…

Im actually a bit worried because it doesn’t say no self service access or whatever… it just says like “Award access not available”… What is the difference between these two?

Mine says that too, rather than the self-service thing. I’m not sure it matters which one, because I mostly saw people accepted with either statuses. Also I think it was more of a ED I thing, and won’t show up for ED II… but we’ll see.

@outonalimb @sternhopeful2018 I’m not sure if there’s any correlation… hopefully there is! Also My program changed from Stern Finance to Stern Business and Political Economy… should i call and ask?

@chances1please where do you check your program on Albert?

@NYUhopeful1 It’s under admissions and click Application Status

@chances1please I would e-mail my regional admissions counselor, but I’m guessing they’re reviewing you for the BPE program rather than the finance (NYU said how they’ll look at other alternate programs that they can offer you if your intended isn’t a fit). From what I heard, BPE is a small, fairly new program and it’s quite different from the other Stern programs… look it up, it’s kinda funky and has a 5% acceptance rate apparently.

If I got the fa change plus the program… Do you think I got in to the program?

Plus I think the theory only really holds up for ED applicants… Thoughts?

What do you mean it shows program? It just shows business for me on stern :/

Yeah like if you go to application status it gives you the school and the program and mine shows as BPE along with an FA change… I wonder if I got into that specific program

We shouldn’t take the FA change for granted, but yes, feel optimistic b/c these are good signs, and we’ll all see about the FA changes in 3 weeks.

I feel like the trend is stronger with the ED I and II rather than the RD ones

correct me if i’m wrong.

Hopefully. Fingers are crossed

@outonalimb Hopefully! What school/program did you apply to?

When do you know if you had the FA change? I mean, what should it say before and what should it say after you get the change?

@lyndak Before it should say something like “No information found” or something of that sort… and After it kind of looks like a three section chart with “2015 Award access not available”… the latter is the famed FA change
