NYU ED II 2018 Discussion

Were those people rejected though?

Let’s say you survived the 7 hour gauntlet and haven’t received an email; you’re probably in! ;)

But yes, it’s going to be a chronic heart attack all night long.

BRING DRINKS, FOOD, and download lots of movies/tv shows.
Or watch the Olympics.

Refresh your email once every 10 minutes like I did and you’ll die 10 years earlier because of heart complications. Do it like once every 30! :D

“chronic heart attack” “heart complications” Perfectly describes the stress. And Friday IS Valentine’s Day, so the heart imagery goes very well with the situation haha

@VioletAvenger Do you know what Shawn’s definition of “predawn” was for EDI? Was that as soon as midnight hit around 2-3AM or was it later in the day Friday?

god bless any loved ones who have to deal with us all day…

@lyndak I recall that it was 3/4am. It was around 1am PST when the ED1 Thread started popping up with rejections.

Omg… Friday may end up being the LONGEST worst day of my life if a rejection letter does come at 1am.

So, there will not be an “update” of our status on Albert? Is that right?

I though that the status changes with an accept/decline option. Now, I’m really confused…

@Chubscout Mine showed up when I received my email. They might mean that sometimes Albert is just really. really. slow.

It’s Monday night and the late nights are already starting. :(

I always used the iPhone App to monitor this thread, but, after College Confidential changed the app completely broke. I finally forced myself to log into CC from my desktop. Anyway, in over 40 pages of posts, I don’t think I missed too much  . Anyway, to all the people who came in to the thread after I left, hi! Here are my stats for you guys:

Tisch Film
3.2 GPA
1800 SAT
Fantastic portfolio
Short Documentary: vimeo.com/85992414
Currently work with a renowned Disney Producer
I own my own freelance production company

President of my TV production class

My predicament is a bit odd. My scores are not up to par by NYU standards, but, I have a great portfolio. I’m basically hoping my Tisch admissions officer “overlooks” my grades, like they do for dance students. On a side note, and this is a pure rumor, I read that my grades are about average for Tisch.

So far I think I may be the only Tisch guy in this entire thread. Are there anymore out there?!

PS: No FA change yet, but Tisch just started looking at my app last week.

I have two rows on the financial aid summary page: 1 that says 2012 (I did the summer program) and one for 2013. 2013 was when I filed my ED 1 application. It has the three columns with the award access not available. I did not apply for FA. So is this the “change?” or not. My notification changed from ED1 to ED2 back in Dec.

@rowand That’s unfortunately not the fa change. I did the program as well but for the fa change it should have a 2015 slot too

@ckravitz1223 I’m not an EDII applicant but I got into Tisch film for EDI, so if you get in we’ll be classmates!
Your portfolio seems particularly unique and seems strong enough where they would be willing to overlook grades.

It’s like my teacher know how paranoiac I’ll be on Friday and trying to punish me even more; I have 4 tests on Friday :(

^^^^ skip lol

Has anyone else who didn’t get the FA change now get it? I’m wondering if there is anyone who got the LSP change without the FA change

I’m an international student and my FA says

Aid Year

Institution

Aid Year Description

2015

New York University

Award access not available.

MY campus choice changed from CAS to LSP though.
What does that really mean now,… I’m freaking out…

@nyuhopeful1 I guess that means I’m rejected.
