Hey guys - just got in for Tisch (IM ECSTATIC), wanted to give some stats for those who asked (though for the arts it’s always iffy):
GPA weighted: 3.8
ACT: 29 (but I actually didn’t send my test to NYU because it was optional)
For extracurriculars, I have directed the school plays and musicals since sophomore year and also have a job as a music teacher elsewhere. Basically, I had that ideal extracurricular situation where I demonstrated leadership in somethings that lightly relate to my major and that I have been doing for a long time. Since I was applying to be in Dramatic writing, I spent basically my whole summer perfecting my writing supplementals and I like to think my portfolio was well crafted and portrayed the strengths I had built from what little experience I had.
