@orangeowl65 mine used to show fall, winter, spring, and summer, but now only shows summer as well. It’s probably just changes happening as we get closer to the decision release date. Housing changes in the past have only mattered right before decisions are released
I’m just curious why everyone’s housing portal is showing something different. I have fall through summer and can cancel applications for fall - spring and sign up for housing for summer. You’d think they’d all be the same.
Just so folks understand - the Housing system is run outside of Albert, as is Financial Aid and the Bursar’s office. During applications the University has to coordinate the records of thousands of applicants correctly through all their systems. Financial Aid showing processed or not is not an indicator of your chances - like, at all! Being able to pay for stuff like a deposit isn’t an indicator at all. The Housing options shown are never an indicator for rejection, only very rarely an indicator for acceptance and that only happens for a few applicants when it gets closer to decision date. NYU really isn’t trying to torment you, they are updating massive amounts of data through their systems and there are iterative loads which change Albert’s options in small ways. Take all the changes calmly, you’re not getting any secret messages from admissions there! Hang tight, folks - I know it’s hard but you will hear for real at the end of the week… so try not to drive yourself crazy before then.
I always told myself that I wasn’t going to become obsessive about it, but as we get closer, I find myself checking Albert and my portal and NYU’s socials more and more lol
does anyone know if NYU has contacted those who’ll receive the MLK scholarship? I know someone previously in the thread had said that those who were chosen as MLK scholars heard from NYU before the normal decision day. just wanted to ask if anyone knew!
I’ve heard some people say they notify LSP kids early, is that true? I applied for CAS with LSP as an alternative but I’m in the 25% for NYU so I am beginning to think that LSP would be a realistic way of getting in.
