Does this financial aid theory hold true for international applicants as well?

I guess this ought to take the pressure off… Read Cmac7298’s post about the whole financial aod theory from last year in the following link:

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/new-york-university/1302199-nyu-rd-notification-date-4.html

Yeah my financial aid says 2014. a friend of mine who got accepted to ed1 said the same thing happened to him. =x. Also. Again. For tisch applicants. Did any of your appointment statuses change from “status:paid” to "status:current NYU student "?

Cmac7298 then got rejected…

Mine changed to the “2014 - Award Access Not Available”. I hope that it means good things.

Someone in the old ED forum said theirs said “no information found” for the week leading up to decisions, then on the 15th it changed to “award access not available” and he/she was accepted the 18th. So maybe the change is gradual? I can only hope :(

Yeah I can only hope. But I’m quickly losing that hope.

Ah well. I tried :(

Do you have a link to that post btw?

So does a change mean acceptance??

The change in FA is most probably good… Lets hope it changes for all of us gradually and eventually…

@rkl2195 10th, not 15th, sorry. Ugh stressing

@ivygolfer that seems to be the case

@thextractor So I guess we still have today for it to change and if not…oh well.

someone said theirs didn’t change and they were accepted LSP so…if you applied for that… maybe we have a chance…

I just called NYU and they say unless the official letter’s sent out, there should be no indications.

I checked LSP as an option but I think the application status is supposed to change from CAS to LSP and mine hasn’t. This is frustrating.

@chaichai People called on the old threads too and admissions said the same thing but I dunno, the FA change seems pretty accurate.

Well mine did not change and I’m apply for Gallatin…(I did not apply for FA though.)
guess I’m not admitted then.
(sign.)
@rkl2195

@Chaichai people have said they called and NYU said it doesn’t mean anything, yet everyone whose didnt change seemed to be denied anyway. This sucks.

Well I knew I wouldn’t be receiving much financial aid anyway. I Guess it was for the best.

The more I look at old threads the more the financial aid theory seems to be true.

Everyone please please please don’t stress about the financial aid. I got the change and I was accepted but there were some people who didn’t and got accepted as well. Albert isn’t reliable at all, it still never checked off my audition box even after I was accepted. This happens every year and there is not a clear correlation between a financial aid change and your admissions decision. It’ll all be okay guys!

Applied to Stern and mine still says “There is no financial aid information found.”
