3 o clock!
@michelleyeahh I could see you totally deserve what you have so far! OMG! you dance too?! I’m a folk dance dancer, not professional but also got a lot of national rewards from my country.
I applied to NYU as an international student, do not have SAT score, I don’t know if this a drawback.
I’m currently study at a private university in Long island, sophomore standing. First semester GPA 4.0, second 3.5, third 3.83, overall is 3.65, not so competitive, but still tried my best to get those grade and got into honor college in my school.
For my application, I submitted a published article, got one rec from Stats professor and one from political science and also have one from a CEO from a investment company.
I attended a plenty of professor events that related to business and economy throughout high school and college.
And I also have a volunteering experience for a France energy company for over 4 years.
I am not sure how my chance to get it. And no one from admission office has contact me, I am really frustrated rn
High School GPA: 3.2
College GPA: 3.8 all four semesters
SATS: Incoming Junior so was not required.
EC:
High school rugby captain
Played rugby for my country
Played rugby at Commonwealth games, Asian games and ASEAN games.
Officer in the army during my mandatory army service.
I think maybe my EC’S gave me an edge? because I have seen people with far more impressive academic resumes and EC’s rejected.
Accepted at Georgetown, BC, DUKE and UCLA as well however most likely will be attending NYU.
@NYUtodolist I think you could definitely get in!!
I wouldn’t worry about not being contacted yet, it really seems they’re just spreading things throughout the month. and Admissions only contacted me when they were missing something from my application.
But I understand the frustration, the wait is the worst. best of luck!!!
Please don’t speculate that if you did not receive an e-mail this morning you’re rejected! I applied to Uchicago, they asked for course syllabi and further financial aid documentation and I still got rejected, while others like me got accepted. Don’t read into anything too much, and remember, even if you don’t get accepted then it’s their loss, not yours, shine anywhere you go!
Good luck to everyone!
Congrats to all!
was anyone else who was accepted receiving any housing information? I didn’t get any and I don’t even have a housing tab on my albert
I thought there was gonna be a second wave:(
@MPLSg Sure, my stats were just okay. I had a 3.7 GPA and a 1900 on my SAT’s. I submitted a screenplay as my creative piece.
@cerniglie are you currently a freshman or sophomore?
just got accepted to CAS econ
Applied from Boston University
Gpa: 3.85
Anyone else hear from MCC? I don’t see any changes in Albert so I guess that isn’t good news for me
What does it mean when the transfer credit still isn’t available?
Hi everyone and congrats! I was hoping someone on this thread could help me out…I have a friend whose dream school is nyu and she got in! But can’t go because of financial aid. I was wondering if any of you guys applied to nyu before but didn’t go for some reason, and got in as a transfer and got a new financial aid package? She’s in a special situation bc a lot happened during the span of financial aid so everything was mixed up. I’d greatly appreciate any help!!
Can anyone who was accepted today see financial aid information? My d was accepted into Tisch today and the financial aid tab shows: “Award access not available”
Has any other Tisch Programs other than film hear back? I am still waiting
My stats are not the best, however I think my portfolio, essays, and recs were stellar. Im above average academically but not stellar.
Congrats on those we were accepted. Looks like quite a few Tisch applications have yet to hear back. Maybe we’ll get something next week.
I guess the housing button is on NYU home. Mine still says non renewable, i dont know if i should call them and ask about it or not
Hi, I’ve been reading through this thread for awhile. Didn’t bother making an account til now. Applied for Steinhardt, Media, Culture, and Communication program.
Those of you asking if you should call in to ask about something relatively small - don’t. (Of course, if it’s something urgent, go ahead.) I know that you are eagerly anticipating your decision and want to hear back already, but so do hundreds of other people. If there is even the slightest change in your Albert, do not waste their time and call them. Email them? Maybe. That’s less intrusive and time-consuming. Don’t read too much into the changes in Albert; it’s different for everyone, esp since everyone has applied for different schools and programs. Some have gotten accepted and saw no changes in their Albert. Others have.
Just wait for your decision. At this stage in the game, there really is no point in calling unless something has changed which concerns you or you’ve forgotten application materials. I know someone who is on the admissions committee at Duke, and this is the advice he gives a lot of people who ask about stuff like this. Too many people call in who are concerned about something that shouldn’t even be slightly alarming.
Be patient. I know you’re incredibly nervous, anxious, excited, etc., as am I, but it’s better for everyone if you just sit and wait. It’ll only be a week or two for most of you.
Also - good luck to everyone who hasn’t heard back yet! To those who got accepted already, congrats! And to those who have been rejected, keep your head up. You’ve got a whole lifetime ahead of you, and you will not let this one setback keep you from moving forward.
