NYU Fall 2017 Transfers Official Thread

Still nothing for me

Rejected from Stern unfortunately :frowning:

@FortyNights sorry to hear… I still have not heard back for some reason :frowning:

@cjeong98 I’m on the same boat as you (^-^)/ ur not aloneee

O Albert… give me a sign…

@FortyNights sorry to hear that. Did they offer you admission to CAS, or did you apply to CAS as a secondary option?

Were there multiple waves for Stern decisions in the past?

@cjeong98 @emorylove97 I still haven’t heard back yet and have yet to see a change on the portal. Applied for stern and put CAS as a second option.

Rejected from Stern. GO TAR HEELS \m/

Rejected!!! Tisch Drama sophomore applicant

For stern applicants who have received decisions, where did you find it on Albert? Is it application status that we used to see material checklist?

Screw NYU man, 3.92 GPA, worked full time cleaning toilets and disposing trash overnight for 2 years just to be able to afford/be accepted to a decent school and all I get is a state school down the street.
Whatever, a school doesn’t define me, I don’t need a piece of paper from Columbia, NYU, Upenn, etc. to be successful.

Wishing everyone accepted or denied great success, keep working hard despite failure.

@dbrazor i’m so sorry to hear that ): you can always try to apply again next year though. i didn’t get accepted as a senior in high school and i just applied again as a second semester freshman and got accepted. just don’t give up and don’t let NYU or any other school define your intelligence or capabilities as a student

@annadragon just requested the Facebook page!

rejected from steinhart!!! Good luck guys

for everyone who was rejected, did you guys have any chnages on albert? asking to subdue the anxiety… thanks!

@nyu37673 I had no changes prior to being rejected

yeah I’m thinking maybe I’ll get a rejection email soon because there are no changes on my Albert… If so, I’ll be positive and look forward to attending the school I’ve already been accepted to. As much as I love NYC and dream of taking classes at NYU… :frowning:

I also got rejected to Stern today. As noted, one does not need to go to a top tier school to be successful. A student at a community college can learn, with dedication, just as much as a UPenn, Columbia, or NYU student. However, going to one of the mentioned schools surely gives you a leg up in the job market. That being said, don’t disregard all of your work experience and academic achievements. Having such a high GPA is something to be proud of. Hopefully, if you are a rising sophomore like me, you will reapply next year with an even stronger portfolio. I was rejected to Wharton, BC Carroll, and Stern. My first semester GPA was a 3.81 and I scored a 2210 super on the unrevised SAT. What I believe really hurt my chances were my very underwhelming HS stats and poor EC involvement. I also wrote each essay a day prior to its respective deadline (I’m lazy lol). In HS, I was a part of one club and I am in only one club in college. Stern, and any other top business school for that matter, look for individuals who hold leadership positions and are active in their collegiate communities. Having gone through the transfer process for the first time, I am going to do all in my power to do as much as I can to be admitted to these schools next year. I hope you will join me in this process.

P.S. Congratulations to all those who were accepted - and are soon to be accepted! NYU is a fantastic school and you will have a great time in the city!

Just wondering, did anyone that get rejected from Stern have any changes on Albert?
