@Daxx121 I submitted my app on 4/1. All my materials were checked off on 5/1 and the FA status changed on 5/4. They basically took only 3 days to review my app and make the decision. I literally have no idea how this whole admissions process works
@eatmypaopu i’m really sorry you didn’t get in ): i was accepted with a 3.0 to tisch film and i had only taken 12 credits from university of pittsburgh… i’m shocked to have been accepted seeing as i only took calculus, statistics, and one class related to film. NYU must look at things holistically because i had a lot of ec’s related to film (youtube, drama department, etc) and my high school stats were way above average for tisch.
i think your GPA is amazing but you may have been lacking with related extracurriculars or in your essays it also could have been that they wanted more money from prospective students; the fact that you already have an associates degree might have been a turn off but who knows ):
@annadragon thanks for your reply, that’s amazing! Congratulations. I had a bad feeling coming to this thread and seeing how many EC’s everyone had compared to me, I guess it makes sense. I thought I had an extremely strong essay, but under the “extra circumstances” portion I did include a disclaimer about my HS junior year GPA (3.2) because of some bad health issues. Maybe it would’ve done me better to just leave that out…
I applied to CAS for Politics on 3/27 with a 4.0 GPA from a CC in Los Angeles and I still haven’t heard anything or seen any changes. I was accepted to Loyola Marymount University but NYU is my top choice. I’m so nervous, I just want to know if I got in already
@jcr556 if I were you I wouldn’t lose hope yet! I’m from an out of state CC with a 4.0 as well and I just got my rejection letter today. If they weren’t still considering you you’d probably have one as well. Also, maybe not hearing anything is a good thing. They asked me for my midterm report (all A’s) which I sent in, still rejected. Maybe you’ll get an acceptance next week!
@eatmypaopu thanks! They didn’t ask me for a
midterm report… I’m not sure if that’s a good or bad thing.
Accepted into NYU Tandon at 5:00 PM!
Everything was checked off in late march and I submitted my midterm Mid-to-Late April report after calling in, because they didn’t notify me of anything or ask for it.
At the moment besides my acceptance, I have no changes to financial aid or anything else.
I’m probably just being paranoid but can anyone send me a screenshot of what an accepted albert page would look like?
Even though I got accepted, I won’t go because it’s too expensive
@jcr556 Yo I’m in the same boat as you, I applied to CAS from a CC in Los Angeles too! No changes and NOT DECISIONS BLUUHHH!H!HH!H!
@myfrienddune which CC?
Elco, you at smc? harbor?
@jrc556 ^^^
@jcr556 probably a good thing, my reasoning is I was probably somewhere on the fence and my midterm report (even though it was all A’s???) sealed the rejection deal? They probably only solicit midterm reports for applicants that they’re still not sure of. You might be a shoe in.
@AndreND Mind sharing your stats please?
Can anyone help me with this?
I got the email saying that my admissions decision was available to view.
I followed the instructions in Albert, but found no option to view my decision. I have no way to contact admissions until tomorrow.
Is anyone else experiencing this?
I can view my financial aid award, so I’m assuming that I’ve been admitted. But I’d really like to be able to view the decision.
@Isingh1347 Sure!

College I did D1 track for about 21 hours a week and I placed in my conference.
Just now got my fincancial aid change but no aid as of yet and still can’t log into orgsync or anything else.
anybody hear from stern yet?
@queencityqueen there should be a big purple button on your Application Status page in Albert, but if you have pop-up blockers on it may not be showing anything when you click on it. I’m not sure if this is your problem, or if you don’t see the purple button at all, but my decision letter didn’t show until I disabled my pop-up blockers for the site.
@myfrienddune i’m at elco too!
