<p>Hi! Thanks for making this thread. Like others on here I’m also thinking about applying to Steinhardt. My first question is…</p>
<p>1) Can you double major within Steinhardt? I’d be applying for music business but I really don’t want to leave my love for composition out in the dust.</p>
<p>2) On the application there was this one thing that was like “if NYU thinks you’d be better suited for a different major within NYU than the one you listed would you still like to be accepted to this different major?” So… has this happened to anyone who has applied that you know of?</p>
<p>3) i’m pretty confident in my musical ability and EC’s and my grades aren’t that bad I think (3.4 UW GPA) but i’m still suffering with a deathly SAT score of 1710. I’m taking them again of course (along with the ACT) but should I not even try? It’s not they can magically become a 2000 or anything.</p>
<p>4) if you’re in Steinhardt can you still take classes in CAS? I really want to take Japanese and Korean classes even though it has nothing to do with music business.</p>
