For the Core Program in Liberal Studies, can you transfer to the NY campus your sophomore year?

My intended major is art history, too. I was placed in LSP instead of CAS. Why did you choose to go to Gallatin over CAS for art history?

Disregard my question.

I got accepted into LSP! My question is… do i HAVE to transfer after two years of is there any other way I can transfer to another 4-year colleges or other NYU schools after my freshman year? Thanks :)

I am so confused too…I feel like a loser for choosing this schools when I did not really get in, but i guess my essay really did fit me with this program. I talked about growing apart from the beliefs of my family even though they ridicule me for it, becoming agnostic, and also becoming an individual and my other essay spokeof my fascination with languages and how I realized that man has placed borders on countries, cultures, languages, and how many people can not look past that like I can. I spoke of how I now see all words as simply words, not words of different languages, leche is just an adjective for milk which a select group of people know and use in their everyday lives…********Anyway, I would be going to Shanghai my freshman year, where did you go? and can you map out where LSP students study for all 4 years, do I study in Shangai for two years? Shangai, another place, and then NY for my last two years or what?NYU is a great school and I can still not believe that they chose me, but I guess I can add diversity to the school. I mean, come on, my SAT was1800 and my gpa was 3.88 weighted. I somewhat feel like I am at the bottom of the bunch, then again, maybe LSP is perfect for me then because my gpa will be higher than if I went straight to the actual school, plus I want to be a polyglot so this is a perfect opportunty right?

Can LSP students going into CAS later on, major in ANY of the CAS majors? Or does the LSP requirements make it difficult to do so for some majors?

Rutgers, in theory one can major in ANY CAS major, however, see may post 16 re economics. If the planned major is sequential (i.e., certain courses must be taken befor others) AND also need math courses as pre-reqs, imvho, graduation in 4 years will be difficult. Additionally, some majors such as Econ may require grades of a certain level. In short, unless funds are of no import to you, this may be difficult. Yes, LPS students have 2 electives in Freshman year, and more in Soph. But you also have to meet For Language requirements and the major. IMVHO, LPS works better with social science majors other than econ.

thanks kayf for clearing that up. I read the economics post and that made me wonder if LSP was right for me. I did apply to NYU as Psychology major, but now I realize I dont want to major in that. And since money is an issue, and I want to graduate in 4 years, I guess I wont go to LSP.

rutgers, some people could manage to graduuate in four years. For example, if you placed out of all foriegn language and the Math UA9

I have accepted the offer for the Core Program in the London Campus. I have two questions:
- I am aware we are still in the Core Program when we return to the NY campus but are we enrolled in a college there such as CAS? Or do we transfer to CAS or any other college our junior year?
- What is the general total population of the NYU Campus in London, or at least the freshmen class there?

Thank you.

2 is answered on the main page for the NYU London global academic center:

“350 per semester, including 100 freshman”
