<p>It means that when you applied to NYU, you checked the box that said you would be willing to be considered for the Liberal Studies program if they cannot offer you a spot in your first choice major. At this point, you should assume are under consideration for your second choice major and not your first. Read up on LSP (which you stay in for the first 2 years). It’s not a bad way to go at all but there are some schools (like Stern and I think Tisch) that one cannot transfer into out of LSP. Majors in CAS which I think includes pre-law are available.
