I wanted to know exactly what a rejection letter looks like so that I could know my decision as soon as I open the email…this is what it looks like in case anybody is wondering:

Dear _____,

The admissions committee at New York University has carefully considered your application and supporting credentials, and it is with regret that I must inform you that we are unable to offer you admission to one of our NYU campuses this year.

@idontlikewaiting I agree with you but I was watching a YouTube video early today where they say that’s it’s not really a holistic rubric and I was like noooooooo lol hopefully, I applied to pace university as well so that’s my back up college

It was this stupid video that was like what colleges admission do not want you to know, it was stupid and meaningless. Don’t worry about it, you more likely got accepted!:)

Shouldn’t we make a new thread for decisions? We have an obligation to spare next year’s class from a lot of worrying…We should have a new thread where people post any changes to their Albert account, a brief overview of their stats, and their decisions.

ahhh goodluck to everyone tomorrow! I know i dont personally know any of you but this has honestly been such a journey and im thankful to have been able to post on here and talk to other applicants who share the same stress and pain! you all deserve to be accepted and i hope you are so we can become friends next fall! WOO! and also i wanna show some respect out there for all other athletic recruits! go NYU VIOLETS!!!

I’m heading to bed everybody…next time I come on here will be with my decision. It’s been a pleasure worrying, speculating, and talking with you guys for a month. Whatever happens will be for the best.

Hope we all make it!! Best of luck everyone :)

I leave you tonight with a quote:

“I really don’t think life is about the I-could-have-beens. Life is only about the I-tried-to-do. I don’t mind the failure but I can’t imagine that I’d forgive myself if I didn’t try.”
