NYU Poly Vs. NYU

Regarding NYU-Poly’s rigor, does anybody know about the rigor for a Biomolecular Science major pursing pre-med? I know the school is tough for engineering since it is primarily an engineering school, but I was accepted as a Biomolecular Science major and I am doing pre-med, and if the rigor is the same, then I probably will not attend since GPA is extremely important for medical school. I do not want to risk getting a low GPA, because that could decide my future, really.

From what i heard, BMS is only hard if you aren’t good at chemistry or science. People told me it’s a bit easier than computer science there.

Accepted as of today

by email? or mail? I got an email telling me that i’m pretty much accepted and i was accepted to the scholars dinner. I called in and told them to put me in heop the other day( still needs to get evaluated for heop). idk if this affects anything… should i call in and tell them to cancel me for heop?

and congrats btw :)

By mail/email Got invited to a dinner as well. What are you going to study? Im 95% sure Im going to accpet the offer. Its a toss up between manhattan college and nyu-poly

I got into Manhattan too(Heard not very generous with aid)! I’m going to study Chemical Engineering. I haven’t got something in the mail by poly because my app is probably being evaluated by the heop office and I probably want to call in on Monday and cancel.

Oh ok ya I am studying comp sci and both schools are very good in that respect. I am excited to visit them. how did you decide between Manhattan and NYU? Just financial aid?

Yeah now it all depends on financial package.

NYU-Poly said in the acceptance letter that the merger is allowing them to give more financial aid then ever before. What there offer is is yet to be seen but it does sound promising.

Yeah that makes more sense.

POLY is ALOT, i mean ALOT easier to get in compare to NYU itself

The fact that it’s going to be NYU’s engineering school, it’s not going to be easy anymore. People who got in the past got it somewhat easy but now it won’t be.
