@Sweets10 Donāt worry if you were not admitted. This school likes to accept people who are willing to pay full tuition and are one of the most prejudice admissions officers in the country. Trust me they look at everything financially when ,asking a decision, they are not āneed blindā. I have taken summer class this past summer at NYU and study at one of the best schools in NY (FORDHAM UNIVERSITY).
I have a 3.910 at Fordham and they denied me. I also volunteer at NYU Langone Hospital and submitted a letter from there with proof of hours, letters from a physiology prof who went to Cornell graduate, Spanish prof, great comments on my midterm etc.
I know someone who did not apply for aid last spring and had a 3.0 gpa and was admitted.
Definitely feel that since I applied for aid it affected my decision. I have applied once before this and think that the decisions this school makes is bull. I have worked my a** off at Fordham to earn As with very few A-s. I think something is definitely against people who apply for financial aid.
@Sweets10 I am a bio major too.
I think everyone should know what a joke NYU admissions is. Literally went through a summer of hell with organic chemistry with some of the worst TAs ever. Guess Iām just glad to save the 70 k. Everything happens for a reason and Iām just happy I still go to an amazing school.
@Sweets10 I saw you applied to Fordham ! I would say that this is a great school and you really get to know each and every one of your professors. I have not had a single professor that did not know my name. Every professor here is very caring and is very accessible outside of the classroom. I would definitely consider transferring here and I have been denied for NYU I question why Iāve been trying to leave Fordham in the first place.

@firenation1254 I was rejected. around 3.5 GPA from high school, 4.0 college GPA (community college part time), elite athlete (numerous awards/achievements), 1210 SATS.
@jnmj123 Wow 4.0 even though at CC still surprised at rejection. Makes me even more upset that they can deny people with such high GPAs and still feel ok with that. I had around the same gpa for HS. Lol I feel like going to admissions and asking what their problem is. Only a train ride away 
@jd9821 Itās okay, Iām happy with the school Iām transferring to! Fordham is a great school and Iām sure youāll continue to do well there!
Literally have volunteered at NYUās Hospital since June. Still puzzled as to why I was denied. SAT score was 1370 too. Not the best but with a 3.9 GPA at Fordham, I donāt understand what more they want from me. it just feels wrong
@jnmj123 Thanks! Congrats on your other acceptance! Iām sure you will continue to succeed as well. It just sucks that they did this to me twice but I guess everything happens for a reason. Best of luck and happy holidays!
But my SAT score should not have even been a factor since i had over 30 credits.
Was admitted to no avail. Found out yesterday that the award had absolutely no aid. Itsā a school for the rich, after all it is a successful business. Do not want to take on loans for Undergrad degree. A stamp of NYU will not affect my future but it will definitely be what I learn, achieve and apply while seeking my passion that will shape my future, regardless of the name of the school I attend. I would rather save that money and use it in a more constructive way. I wish I could auction away my seat to one of the wealthy students, but my advice, its not the school that matters, its what you are made up of that does !

hey guys after being accepted i paid a deposit only to realize that i had written a wrong cardholder name. I am freaked outā¦ does nyu send out notification email that i have to repay withing 24 hours after the payment?
