NYU (Stern) vs Emory (Goizueta) Undergrad

Stern lists their freshman acceptance rate as 13%. Median SAT scores are a 1470 (out of 1600). Oddly, they don’t offer their average GPA.

As PurpleTitan already mentioned, you have to transfer into Goizueta’s BBA program from Emory or Oxford Colleges. The average SAT score was a 1377 (out of 1600), and the average college GPA was a 3.64. They don’t list overall acceptance rate.

Why are you asking? Stern is going to be the only sure bet for a college-bound high school senior, since you know at the start that you are in while at Emory you have to keep your grades up for two years and apply afterwards. With that said, the average SAT score at Goizueta seems pretty much in line with the average SAT score for Emory and Oxford overall. A 3.6 average doesn’t really provide the range of acceptable GPAs, but a reasonably motivated college student could achieve a 3.4-3.5 by paying attention and doing good work. What I mean by this is that at Goizueta, it seems like the hardest part is actually getting into Emory (or Oxford) as a freshman.
