<p>NYU is very similar to USC in many respects, minus the campus and minus the sports. </p>
<p>Because it’s such a large university you’re bound to find people you’ll get along with who want to do the same things you do - if that’s go out every week (there aren’t big dorm parties, there’s clubbing/going out to bars usually), hang out all the times, whatever else you might want. </p>
<p>NYU students, at least in my experience when I was there, are generally quite friendly; I never had any problems making friends in my courses. There is a lack of a school-wide community, but that never affected my experience.</p>
