oh boy, I hope it’s sooner than that. I don’t know if that’s normal for waitlist movement and last year’s just started unusually early, but either way it’s pretty nerve-wracking lol

Waitlisted from NYU Tisch for film, regular decision, also applied for aid
same here! only difference is I applied for regular decision so I’m not really bummed by it.. ngl expected a flat rejection lol
I’m thinking about enrolling to CUNY Brooklyn College since I live around the city & is a much cheaper option for me

Are others able to access their financial aid links? I remember during regular decision it only worked for people who got in, but now it seems to be working for people. Saw on reddit.
Anyone know what to write for the waitlist prompt? Have been debating back and forth what to write but imma be real I have not been doing anything of note, no real achievements or accomplishments. Prompt states to “inform the admissions committee of any updates since the time of your application (ex. honors, awards, new leadership positions, etc.).” while some other sources say to also include kinda like a why NYU message. Which one is it, or should I just leave the thing blank bc I haven’t really done anything?
not sure if you still need an answer to this (if so, sorry it’s at the last possible second lol), but I’m in a similar situation since I’m not currently in school. personally, I filled out the form back in january and basically just thanked them for not rejecting me and reiterated how committed I was to nyu. however, during the waitlist seminar a couple weeks back, they had specifically said not to use the form to express demonstrated interest, so I guess I wouldn’t recommend doing what I did lol. assuming you’re still in school, I’d say it might be a good idea to give a summary of your grades and whatnot from the past few months, maybe specifically highlighting any classes related to your intended major or any classes you might’ve shown some improvement in. nyu’s website also recommends telling them about any extenuating circumstances that might have negatively affected your academic performance, or anything relevant to your application that might’ve changed since you first applied.
I ended up submitting it blank because I didn’t really have much improvement or regression (improved in some classes, did worse in others) but I do appreciate the info, it is my fault for asking at the last second lol. Hope we both off the waitlist bro

The waitlist for nyu started moving last year on may 6th, which was a Tuesday. So I guess we’ll see tomorrow?
This change for anyone? It used to say “ed 2” or something next to the “2026” for me instead of “regular decision”.
We should compare business days after May 1. Last year they had ~3 before decisions (May 6). This year they’ve only had 1–2 so far, so I think Wednesday may be more likely.

I also saw that today on mine –which used to say “ed2 etc.”. Does everyone has that as well? I don’t know whether that’s a good sign, or just no sign at all! Does anyone know?
I don’t think it’s a sign for anyone’s particular chances. I just think it means they may be starting to review people to take off.

Guys is it a good idea that I’ve selected CAS, Stern, Steinhardt, SPS, Silver, gallatin, lsc, and global liberal studies on the response form?? I’m pre-law so any major is fine.
Yeah, in the aspect that they have more ways to admit you, so hypothetically, your chances would increase.
Hope you’re right! I also changed to full pay status on the wl form. I hate the school I’m committed to (it’s a state school) 
so NYU is pretty important.
