Anyone else got into the liberal studies program?
@russianmom72 I am currently doing the IB and I got in after being waitlisted. However, despite being offered admissions I will not go to NYU this fall, but to Northeastern in Boston.
Hey all! International student here waitlisted for Steinhardt. No news so far.
BUT, i just got off the phone with the admissions office, & he said that the team totally understands the visa situation of international students (that it takes quite a long time for it to processed/to be made), so because of that, international students will probably hear the latest by the end of May or/and the end of June.
In additon to that, more decisions will be released today & tomorrow. The guy who spoke on the phone was soooo nice, I was scared at first that I might be bothering him with my inquiries, but he seems so willing to answer them. Don’t forget to say thank you to them for working hard to re-evaluate our applications

@nico_98 Congrats! I’ve been to both schools and honestly I like Northeastern better( I got rejected though). They have a beautiful campus and awesome school spirit. Plus Boston is a nice city. NYU is more “individual” , people are more focused on their own things and school is more like a resource for people to work together. Anyway, they are both every good schools and I think you won’t regret if you go to either of them, it really depends on your personallity. ( And whether you get into the co-op program in NU, that’s a really good intern opportunity and people I know who graduated from NU all got in the companies they interned at. )
@NYUPlezz Thanks! Although NYU is a great uni, I am 90% sure that I will chose Northeastern. Did you also get into NYU after being waitlisted or have u not heard yet from them?
@wingkobabat did they necessarily say they’re contacting Steinhardt too? I haven’t heard anyone who’s heard back from them yet
I got the letter on Monday for Liberal Study Program and haven’t heard back from them yet. ( Meaning I can be accepted or not) I think Liberal Study is a good program (If you want to work in New York City then you should consider NYU because they have good connections with companies in NYC. Of course I hope that you can leave the spot for us who are still waiting haha but think what’s the best for yourself. They are equally good in career development.)
@typicalmango No, unfortunately I didn’t ask him about steinhardt in particular. I was afraid that I might bombard him with too much specific questions. I really do hope that I can get a decision by next week because I’ve actually committed elsewhere & I want to know ASAP whether I actually have to withdraw my enrollment from that uni or not :-S did u get waitlisted to steinhardt as well?

@NYUPlezz I have already declined my offer from NYU, so I wish you all the best of luck and I therefore hope that my spot goes to you haha, u probably deserve it more than me. Good luck If you do get in!
@NYUPlezz as a whole, I prefer Northeastern rather than NYU tho it has been a tough choice to make.
@Isingh1347 Didn’t get ANY financial aid at all, but fortunately my parents can afford the uni. Despite that, I declined NYU’s offer because I’ve concluded that Northeastern would indeed be a better fit for me. Good luck mate!

Did anyone hear anything today? Also, does everyone who gets off the waitlist receive an interest email first or did anyone go straight into receiving an acceptance letter?
